Cabinet Level Attributes

When this package is set up and running you will rarely need to adjust the settings - First we'll run through expectations for each of the cabinet attributes

Before you save each of your corner cabinets back to the library with preferred settings, each cabinet will follow the defaults as described below.

  • Once you save the cabinet with attributes preserved, cabinets will come out of the library with your preference as an override...

Autoshape Parts - None

  1. This is the default setting (The first time you use this package)
  2. The UCS will not try to replace any parts with a Library Part
  3. Use this setting when you need to apply a custom shape to your parts
  4. Take a look at the next section in this article for part attribute settings

Autoshape Parts - Per Part

  1. This setting will allow parts to be individually activated
  2. Take a look at the next section in this article for part attribute settings

  2. Works for Corner 90 and Corner 90 Clipped cabinets

Part Level Attributes

So next, let's take a look at expectations when using part attributes to shape horizontal parts in a corner 90 cabinet

Part attributes - Top, Deck and Bottom options...

  1. None (No UCS/LibPart activated)
  2. Rounded
  3. Scalloped

Tip: Edit the radius on rounded parts before saving the cabinet to your library. That way you can have the value you need used every time the cabinet is brought into a job.

  • It's also possible to edit the UCS to change defaults
  • However, if you update the package in the future, the values will pop back to Joinery IT defaults

Part attributes for shelves...

  1. None (No UCS/LibPart activated)
  2. Rounded
  3. Straight Left (Not available on shelves in clipped cabinets. Also available to shelves in corner 45 cabinets)
  4. Straight Right (Not available on shelves in clipped cabinets. Also available to shelves in corner 45 cabinets)

Well that's all there is to it!
