Setting up Job Properties

In this Article we are going to Set the System Defaults for your Cabinet Vision Programme.

 These System Defaults will be the same every time you open up a new job.

All these Job Properties can be changed to suit the project you are about to begin.

a) At the Splash Screen, Left Click the Solid Button in the top left hand corner of the screen.  Then select 'New' to create a new job.

 

 

b) Job Properties screen  > Room Tab

  • General - Name your room and give description if you wish
  • Finishes - Select a 'Finish' to the Interior and Exterior Finish in any colour other than white.  This is for the purpose of viewing only
  • Layout - Set the specifications for the room, wall thickness, wall height, soffit height and vertical position (the top of the Wall Cabinets and used for fitting Cornice.

c) Cabinet Folder - Construction Tab

  • Cabinets = Select your construction method
  • Drawer Box = Drawers with Exposed Interior
  • Roll Out = Drawers which are fitted internally to the cabinet

d) Cabinet Folder - Select Materials Tab

  • Upper Material Schedules = Wall Cabinets and Tall Cabinets.
  • Standard = Interior of the cabinets
  • Exposed Interior = Exterior of the cabinets
  • Base Material Schedules = Base units

Set As System Defaults

e) Cabinet Folder - Select Hardware Tab

  • Pull Schedule = Handle Selection for the Job to be the default setting
  • Drawer Guide Schedule = Selecting the Drawer System to be the default setting
  • Hinge Schedule = Selecting the Hinge System to be the default setting
  • Sliding Door Rail Schedule = Selecting the Door Rail System to be the default setting

f) Cabinets Folder - Doors Tab

  • Select All
  • Select the Style for the default door
  • Select the Material for the default door

g) Cabinet Folder - Layout Tab

  • Set the default Heights and Depths for each of the Types of units

h) Counter Top Folder

  • Select the material in the Material Tab
  • Select the Layout tab settings

i) Moldings Folder - Molding tab

  • Casing = molding which can be applied to doors and drawer fronts

j) Molding Folder - Molding Tab

  • Crown = Cornice or Scotia
  • Select Profile to be the default material

Set As System Defaults

Then Left Click 'Ok' to retain these Defaults.

Your System Defaults are now set.  You are now ready to move to the next step......
