Job Property Selections when Starting a Job
In this article we will look at making selections for a new job in the Job Properties.
Hint: Try to make all selections before you click OK
a) Job Information Tab
- Information Tab - Fill in the high lighted boxes with Your Client details
c) Room Folder
- Make adjustments to any of the measurements to reflect the Room you are creating in this job
Soffit Height is the distance from the top of the wall down to the top of the Overhead Cabinets
d) Cabinet Folder > Construction
- Construction - select the method for this job
- Drawer Box - select the Drawer Hardware
- Roll Outs - select the Inner Drawer Hardware
e) Cabinet Folder > Materials
- Select the correct materials from the drop down box for the 'Exposed Interior' if different from the Default Settings.
- Select the correct hardware for the Drawer Box and Roll Out selection
f) Cabinet Folder > Hardware
- Pull Schedule - Select the handles for this job
- Drawer Guide Schedule - Select the correct Drawer Hardware
- Hinge Schedule - Select the correct Hinge Hardware
- Sliding Door Rail Schedule - Select the correct Sliding Door Hardware
g) Cabinet Folder > Doors
- Left click on the Default 'Edged Slab' (1)
- Left Click the drop down box button to the right of 'Edged Slab'
- 'Select a Door' schedule appears.
- Select the door required for this project. (2 & 3)
- Select the material you wish to have associated with this door (4 & 5)
h) Cabinet Folder > Layour
- Adjust any alterations to cabinet sizes for this job.
i) Counter Top Folder
- Materials - Select the finish type for your Counter Top (benchtop)
- Layout tab -Adjust the overhangs and thickness of tops
Molding
- Make your selection of 'Molding' for this job.
Finished making your Job Level Selections?
NOW you may Select OK
Important: It's time to save the Job File!
By clicking the Save Button, your job will automatically save with the 'Job Name' you gave the job in the first Job Property window, and will take you to the Default Save location on your computer.
This can be over ridden and file saved in the manner to which you normally would keep your projects.
