Download

  1. Once logged in click "Software"
  2. Click Cabinet Vision
  3. Click link to your DVD download
  4. Click Download
  5. Save as (We use downloads folder)

Things to consider...

  1. Storage Space
  2. Click "This PC" in windows explorer and review GB free space (You'll need at least 11 GB)
  3. Installation Type
  4. If your PC is "stand-alone" install you're ok to proceed. The same install defaults used on the previous version install will be used
  5. If your PC is the "Network Server" for a network installation, you're ok to proceed. The same install defaults used on the previous version install will be used again
  6. If your PC is a network "workstation" > Stop! (The server needs to use the download file first - Your workstation is set up using the server netsetup files afterward)

Run the Installation...

  1. Turn off any Anti Virus and Malware software "until restart"
    1. This is important so the installation has the best opportunity to successfully install and register the files used by CABINET VISION 2021
  2. Right Click > Run as Administrator (Or simply double click the file if your user account settings allow)
  3. Click on "More Info"
  4. Click "Run Anyway"
  5. Click Yes and accept the default location (Setup files are extracted)
  6. Follow the instructions to complete the install - We highly recommend importing CV12 data if possible (The higher the version the better!)

IMPORTING YOUR DATABASE - The older the version you import, the greater the number of changes to the new program database = More update modifications expected

  • Installing every version allows for more realistic/manageable "steps" and is therefore a lot less obstructive to keeping your software investment up-to-date
