Use Solid Manifest File - Correct the Size of Menu Items on High Resolution Monitors

Setting up a Solid.exe.manifest file should help text in menus to display the correct size. As a bonus, Windows will have a lot less 'thinking' to do while you use Cabinet Vision on 3K, 4K and 5K monitors.

Firstly we will place the Solid.exe.manifest file in the Solid Program Folder

a) Start by downloading this Solid.exe.manifest.zip file...

b) Extract the manifest file into the Solid program folder
Example: C:\Cabinet Vision\Solid_11

Next we will edit the Registry so that Windows will use the manifest file

c) Left Click Windows Start and type 'regedit' (without the ' ')

d) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > SideBySide

e) Right Click in the 'Right Pane' and choose 'DWORD (32-bit) Value, Type in 'PreferExternalManifest'. Enter.

f) Right Click PreferExternalManifest and 'Modify'

g) Enter Value Data 1 and select Decimal. Click OK

Close the Registry Editor. Setting up the Manifest File is complete.
