3) Clean out CV11 Database - Here are some reasons we strongly recommend you clean out your CV11 data first...

Connections - CV12 will build new connections for every part joint in the CV11 Drawer, Roll Out and Assembly wizards during the import. In turn, when we start using CV12 learning what each connection does is all part of getting acquainted with your new system.

  • We've found about 20 connections is sufficient to run most of your systems
  • A clean system will create between 20-50 connections
  • We've seen a 'neglected' system create more than 200 connections (That's a lot of sorting out after the fact)

Reviewing Assembly Construction in CV12 - Allow about 1 hour (or longer) per additional construction method imported

  • It's much quicker to create a 'duplicate' method with a few small changes than to review an extra method
  • Be ruthless - Save time getting CV12 running - You can create new methods again as required in future

It's a numbers game really - And how long do you wish to spend getting acquainted with CV12 before being ready to use CV12?
