Plan the Job
Who is the customer?
What kind of Job is it? a kitchen? a laundry area? an entertainment center? furniture? wardrobe?
What are the dimensions of the room(s) cabinet heights and depths etc?
What types of Materials will be used? Does the customer want to see several different options?
What type of Construction Method will be used?
What Door Styles will be used? Does the customer want to see several options?
What kind of Hardware will be used? Door/Drawer Pulls? Hinges? Drawer Guides? Wire Baskets?
It may be helpful to design a specification sheet that gets filled out when the customer requests a quote. This form should contain the information listed above as well as any additional information that will be helpful in setting up the Job. At this stage, you should probably also draw a sketch of the Room(s) and include all appropriate dimensions.
Additional information can be collated in 'Job Notes' and used on a 'Title Block Specification' - See the articles on System Parameters and Title Blocks to get this going
