Special Note:
The Job Properties window is the first thing that you will see when you begin a new Job. This is one of the most important steps in creating a Job so be sure to use this window to set all of the options that you want to use in this Job. If you forget to make a change in one of the Job Properties tabs, you can make the change later from inside the Job.
*Got a room with different properties..?
When in the job changes can then be made in the Room Properties and will only affect that Room.
Hint: Try to make all selections before you click OK

Example: White board has the finish selected on the material so white carcases will remain white
Information: 'Interior' and 'Exterior' do not relate to "Standard" or "Exposed" schedules

Soffit Height = The measurement your Overhead Cabinets will place from the top of the wall...

I'm using Blum Antaro Drawers

- Make 'Material' selections as required for Standard and Exposed Cabinets. And for Drawers and Inner Drawers (aka-Roll Outs)
I'm using Blum Antaro drawers and a generic Exposed Material selection while the customer is undecided about finishes
Cabinet Hardware
- Select 'Hardware' as required for Pulls, Drawer Guides and Hinges
Cabinet Doors
- Select the door style (Your system may have doors from different suppliers)
- Each Door will have their own valid Material Schedules to choose from (Again, I'm using a generic material to get the job started)
Cabinet Layout
- Enter the most common 'Cabinet Sizes' used in the job for Base, Upper, Tall and Vanity Cabinets
Note: The Base, Tall and Vanity 'Heights' includes the Toe Height and the Cabinet Depth does not include the door thickness.
Counter Top Construction
In my example I'm using a surface only - Since I don't want to produce parts for the top in this job...
Counter Top Materials
In my example I have selected a gloss top material - The 'Finish Type' for this material will effect the 3D Render in my job...
Counter Top Profiles
In my example I'm using a 'Square Edge' on my tops...
Counter Top Layout
Sizes entered here will help 'Auto-Build' tops to be the correct size...
Note: Face Overhang is a measure from the cabinet face (Not the 'overlay' door face)
Job Property Configurations
Saving different Job Configurations' is a popular way to speed up "Starting the Job". In my example I'm naming the configuration based on Cabinet Layout and Drawer Selection...
When you're done making Job Property selections, its time to click OK
Important: It's time to save the Job File!
- Left click the save icon
- Name your new job file
- Save
Note: The Job Number from the Job Information tab is used as the file name. In my example that name is "201906-Bob Black"
Take a look at 'Layout' articles next for some cool strategies on creating the room and adding assemblies.
