1. In this article we will discover how to place an assembly to the dining side of a peninsula wall and add the back panel to get an exact fit. Our void has been created by the placement of two B Filler LH or RH (face fit) to create a 650 x 650 void.
2. Select the correct filler - in this case B Filler Fl (base filler to the floor) and drag and drop next to the wall on the dining side of the peninsula wall.
3. Let go of the B Filler Fl and it will snap to the rear of the peninsula wall and next to the right hand wall (in this case)
4. To move the B Filler Fl into it's correct position, alter the 'Outset' by the filler depth i.e. -580mm. This will place the filler into the void created on the kitchen side of the peninsula wall.
5. Now drag and drop a one or two door unit (as the case may be) and attach to the dining side of the peninsula wall. Correct the placement to the B Filler Fl and make the correct width - in this case 650mm - 18mm = 632mm overall cabinet.
6. Now set the correct position as we did with the B Filler Fl. Set the 'Outset' to -580mm. The cabinet will now sit in the correct position.
7. From the Bar Panel Library - drag and drop the 'Bar Panel Fl' and drop to the dining side of the peninsula wall.
8. To set the correct placement - ensure you have the width of the end panel as a gap (as this assembly is positioned from the kitchen side of the peninsula wall)
9. Drag the yellow marker on the right hand side of the panel and drop over the cabinet. The panel will automatically re-size and snap to the cabinet to it's right.
10. Double left click on the unit on the dining side to take you to Section Editor. Left click on the door and add 130mm (toe kick height less 5mm) for vinyl, timber overlay or tiled floors. Check thickness of carpet and underlay for clearance before extending door height.
11. Back in Elevation view, left click to select the cabinet, then right click to change the hinging using the 'rehinge' command.
12. We have now successfully completed the dining side of a peninsula wall.
13. Should you wish to have the door unit pulled forward with a standard benchtop overhang to the front follow the screen steps below. First re-position the B Filler Fl. Do this by changing the 'Outset' to desired depth of the overhang of the benchtop.
14. Repeat #13 with the base assembly to achieve the correct depth.
15. Place a B Panel Fl to the left of the unit - you may need to use the 'ctrl' key to position this assembly in the correct location.
16. Adjust the length of the panel to the correct size of the outset and to sit in front of the base panel in the rear.
17. This type of assembly lends itself to having a set of drawers on the dining side of the buffet which assists in those smaller kitchen with storage. If drawers are selected, lower the bottom drawer in the same manner as we did the door with clearance to suit flooring.
